Here's Terry playing his new gold top ESP, at Rusty's. Rusty's is our new favorite place, where we played all through the summer of 2008. All through the summer we played new songs, and worked them out at Rusty's. Rusty's turned out to be a great venue right on the pier in Santa Monica. We had good audiences all through the summer. All the new songs were well received, and we really enjoyed playing them. Mid summer we went into the studio to start recording. Now, late in 2008, the record is almost finished. We'll close out the summer season with a big Halloween Gig at Rusty's On Oct 31, at 9:30.
Here's Bob playing his favorite Les Paul. Bob laid down some incredible tracks in the studio, and everyone is looking forward to his playing. He covered most of the guitars, and laid down some transcendant solos. Late in the summer, Bob scored a beautiful gift from his girlfriend Carol, a brand new Martin accoustic guitar! No doubt we'll be hearing lots of accoustic on the next record.
Meet Dave. Dave Dalessandro. He joined us late last year, just in time to start work on a new record. His playing suits us perfectly, and we didn't miss a beat. Dave has been playing at Rusty's for a few years, and helped us secure that gig. In addition to slapping the skins for us, he and his wife Janice produce a great line of sauces and marinades under the D'Oni brand. Found at quality markets all over or visit their web site at

Gary is a founding member of the band. Bass man extrodinare. Gary and Coreen built a studio at their place where we rehearse and drink gallons of Southern Comfort. Don't try this at home. We call it the Club House, but the official name is Bassline Studio's. It's been our home base since 1999. We work up all our tunes there, and totally enjoy the atmosphere. Friends like Stormy Rice, Chris Montez, and Vic Germano stop by all the time to jam and hang out.
Working out new songs at Rusty's has been a lot of fun. The crowds have been good, and the pier is a great destination for some fun.
After a few shots of Southern Comfort and a great gig at Rusty's Surf Ranch. June 20th, 2008
Bass Man, Gary Hendley, working on a tune at Bassline Studios. Gary and Coreen built their studio in Tujunga Califorina, it opened in 1999. Primarily the home of the Idle Kings since it opened, the studio is a favorite spot for lots of friends and fellow musicians like Chris Montez, Stormy Rice, Don Butler, Bob Hunau and Vic Germano. Stormy and his band the Moon Dogs, work out there regularly. Gary and Coreen built the studio themselves, with the help of friends.
Bobby Jed Emerson, sporting an Idle Kings t-shirt provides all the guitar fireworks. Guitar solos like butter, fire and ice sometimes all in one solo! Bobby is fond of his Les Paul, his Ebay Strat and his brand new Martin. Bob also got a great 1969 Marshall.
Aren't live drum pictures funny. Meet Dave Dellasandro the newest king. The band has been very stable over the years, but Dave joined us in late 2007. A music veteran, he was a friend of Bobs and we're glad to have him. Dave and his wife Janice produce a great line of gourmet sauces. Dave and Janice also hosted a special event at their home recently featuring Lowen and Navarro, and Randy Chase all the way from Texas!
